In less than three days, summer comes to a close and life as I know it ceases. :) The end of summer marks the beginning of a new job… from 5th grade teacher to elementary principal to now… part-time high school English & Geometry teacher. I’m trying not to be daunted. Trying to convince myself that high school students are really just the same as 10-year-olds, albeit cloaked with more arrogance and bravado… Trying to imagine that an 8 week maternity leave won’t have a negative impact on my school year. Trying to believe that a newborn baby will not alter our lifestyle too much. Which brings us to another beginning…

The end of summer also marks the beginning of a life with three. These days, I vacillate between feeling completely confident and assured that our baby will indeed be AN EASY BABY and that her entrance into our world will be a mere hiccup in the grand scheme of things….and feeling like we really should’ve thought more about it before we went ahead and ceased birth control. WHAT WERE WE THINKING?
